Best of all, AstroTortilla is completely free and works wonders for plate solving.įor those unaware, plate solving is a process by which software checks your astrophotograph for star patterns and determines what it is you are actually looking at. It is however a program that once you start using, you will not regret having spent the time to install it and set it up. They have provided a "fix" for me to test which I am doing now and it looks like it may do the trick.AstroTortilla is one of those programs that may seem overly complicated to set up and start using, hence this short tutorial for those interested. It may help if you chime in with your problem? I did experience that going to an older version (3.1.0) cleared the problem and it happens when I run 3.1.4 or later only. I have an active thread going on the O'Telescope forums and the dev is working closely with me. This sounds very similar to a problem I am having, although cleaning the laptop did not fix it. Long story short in my specific case cleaning my laptop fix one of the issues. So far I will use the old version until I get more time to try to search for the issue. I switch to the old version and it works great again. Yesterday I decided to try to the new version of BYE and still not working as it use to be, the download time is to much compare to the old version. Last week I try BYE again but I use the old version which was giving me issues too, and it work flawless.! I ran long sessions of 100+ images all been save in an external hard drive, download waiting time was normal. erase all the unnecessary stuff to give more free space to my C: drive which I remember was what cause a similar issue a year ago. I read all the comments and suggestions and follow up some of them. This is an update about my BYE issues, I was reading that there are more people having kind like the same problems in other post's. 18:18:07,383 ERROR - Thread was being aborted.Įdited by keesscherer, 17 December 2015 - 11:13 AM. 18:18:07,320 ERROR - InvokeRequired (SynchronizationContext) FAILED! You can check the logfile named like this: I just live with it, after the start check it will run all night without any problem. I did tests with different cables, cable lengths, camera batteries and external camera power (both 220V and 12 Volt power supplies, and 12Volt from power tank versus converter). When it happens it is always during the first 4 images so i check if everything runs fine after the first 4. BYE however always reports a timeout error in my case. I sometimes have the same issue (around 1 in very 10 sessions).
